Dr. Lona Vyas is a consultant urological surgeon with over 18 years of urological experience. Her clinical interests include cancer diagnostics and survivorship, men’s health, male fertility, and general urological procedures.
Dr. Vyas was born and raised in Southern England before attending St. George’s, University of London, where she qualified as a medical doctor. She completed specialist training in several prestigious urology units in the UK including Imperial, Guys St Thomas’ London, and St James’, Leeds; leading to FRCS. In addition to her specialist training, she completed several years of subspecialist training in Andrology and also gained expertise in microsurgical techniques in surgical sperm retrieval at the New York-Presbyterian Cornell Hospital.
She served as a consultant urologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, in London. She also had a private practice at King Edward VII, a leading private UK hospital within the Harley Street medical area, famed for its medical excellence and in treating complex conditions.
Dr. Vyas takes an individualised, holistic approach and aims to provide comprehensive support throughout the diagnostic and treatment journey. She has also contributed to international publications, in peer-reviewed journals, and books. She has been a lecturer at Imperial College London and Sheffield Universities.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Vyas is passionate about education, training, and coaching. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her young family, yoga, live music, records, and books.
