Dr. Rajnish Kumar hails from the region of Delhi – Ncr, India. He received his medical degrees in internal medicine and anaesthesiology/critical care from the University of Delhi, India in 2003 and completed his fellowship in diabetes in 2015.

Dr. Kumar started practicing medicine in January 2005, and since then has participated actively in community health camps especially for diabetes awareness and prevention. Before coming to the Cayman Islands to take up a position at Total Health, he was teaching diabetology in local medical institutes in Gurugram (India) and mentored many diabetology fellowship trainee doctors. He was a pioneer in the use of ambulatory blood glucose monitoring and insulin pumps in Gurugram in 2015, and later regularised their use in patients.

Dr Kumar is an expert in dealing with complicated diabetes cases, and has taken advantage of the latest technologies by integrating them into the fields of diabetology and preventive medicine.
