Rachel Corbett is the National Epidemiologist within the Ministry of Health and Wellness. Ms. Corbett has experience as an epidemiologist in the UK at the local, national and international level. Ms. Corbett previously studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and completed the highly regarded UK Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP). She supported the UK COVID-19 pandemic response in a number of ways, including leading the International Travel Risk Assessment team to assess the risk COVID-19 travellers faced when visiting any country in the world, and informing government policy.
In her current role, Ms. Corbett is supporting the surveillance and reporting of both communicable and non-communicable diseases in the Cayman Islands and strengthening the public health capacity.
